Fake GDPR emails are on their way

Airbnb logo

It was only to be expected that the flood of emails from companies advising their users on the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) would be exploited by scammers. It seems some examples have come to light. The one discovered was pretending to come from AirBnB, but no doubt others are out there. Be careful of any GDPR themed email if it asks for any information. These emails should at the very most ask you to confirm you still want to receive information from the company. As soon as it asks for anything else - quit. Airbnb have some advice on their site regarding emails from them. Read that here. If you want more info on the scam in general read this article.
