Mark Zuckerberg has announced that 1.5 billion Facebook accounts will be moved to ensure the company doesn't have to comply with the new GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations). Faced with fines of up to four per cent of the company turnover for failing to protect user's data, he has taken the decision to move all the accounts other than Europe and the U.S. from his Facebook Ireland company to another Facebook shell company. This craftily avoids having to care about what happens when Facebook data is scraped and used to corrupt elections in countries round the world. All legal of course.
